Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan trade turnover reaches 13-year high

The Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee has announced that the trade volume between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan reached $91 million in the first half of this year, marking a 14 per cent increase compared to the same period last year.

This is the highest figure for the first six months in at least the past 13 years, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported $77 million worth of goods from Uzbekistan, a 36.2 per cent increase over the previous year.

Conversely, Azerbaijan's exports to Uzbekistan amounted to $14 million, representing a 40.5 per cent decrease from the same period last year.
