Azerbaijan embraces digital transition for public services Deputy minister reveals
Azerbaijan is set to transition 15% of its public services to a digital format by the end of 2024, according to Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Samir Mammadov.
Speaking at the launch of the updated digital government platform, mygov, Mammadov emphasized that digital transformation is a driving force in Azerbaijan's economic development, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
"Our strategy focuses on three key areas: digital government, digital society, and digital business," he said.
The deputy minister explained that the move towards a digital government aims to completely digitalize public services and internal processes, facilitating a shift to a paperless administration. This initiative includes enhancing the accessibility of services and information.
Mammadov introduced the National Information Exchange System, Digital Bridge, which will improve data exchange between state information systems. "Digital Bridge will enable rapid data sharing between government agencies, enhancing information accessibility and efficiency. Over 100 information systems from 70 agencies have already been integrated into this system," he added.
