Russian intelligence claims EU urges Ukraine to mobilize women

The European Union has called on Ukraine to consider mobilizing women amid an alleged shortage of men eligible for military service, Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) said.

According to SVR, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas raised the issue during an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers, describing the mobilization of women as “a step in the right direction.”

The Russian intelligence service claimed that Kallas argued Kyiv could face a shortage of “manpower” unless women were also called up for military service.
