Baku brings Azerbaijan, Türkiye together for key energy talks PHOTO
The 5th Azerbaijan-Türkiye Energy Forum has commenced in Baku, bringing together Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and Türkiye’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar.
The forum’s agenda includes discussions on hydrocarbons and petrochemicals, energy efficiency, electricity markets, renewable energy, regulatory matters, mining and other areas of bilateral energy cooperation, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The participants are also expected to sign a protocol concluding the forum.
The Azerbaijan-Türkiye Energy Forum was established under the framework of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the two countries to further deepen their strategic partnership in the energy sector.
The inaugural forum was held in Baku on December 21–22, 2021, followed by meetings in Istanbul on October 5–6, 2022; Nakhchivan on September 28–29, 2023; and Izmir on September 4, 2025.
