Official: Azerbaijan-Türkiye energy cooperation gains momentum

Energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye is becoming increasingly important amid a series of global crises, Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar said.

Speaking at the 5th Azerbaijan-Türkiye Energy Forum in Baku, Bayraktar said the global energy sector has been significantly affected by disruptions stemming from epidemics and armed conflicts, Caliber.Az reports per local media. 

"At such a time, it is important to demonstrate to the region and the whole world an example of international and bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye and to continue developing it," Bayraktar said.

He said the two countries’ close energy partnership could serve as an example of effective bilateral cooperation at a time when global energy security faces growing challenges.
