Bayraktar: SOCAR, TPAO working on new energy projects

Speaking at the 5th Azerbaijan-Türkiye Energy Forum in Baku, Bayraktar said the two countries’ energy partnership had expanded beyond its traditional focus on oil and natural gas to include electricity cooperation, Caliber.Az reports via local media. 

“At the same time, discussions are continuing on SOCAR and TPAO exploration projects in Turkey and Azerbaijan, which began last year with the ‘Shafag-Asiman’ project and are continuing with the ‘Karabakh’ project, as well as projects that SOCAR will jointly implement in Türkiye and third countries,” said Bayraktar.

He said the two sides plan to present conceptual proposals for projects in these areas.
