Mexico, Azerbaijan intend to boost trade, investment ties, envoy says
Mexico and Azerbaijan intend to boost trade, expand investment cooperation and increase the presence of Mexican goods on the Azerbaijani market, Mexican Ambassador to Azerbaijan María Victoria Romero Caballero has said at an event in Shusha marking Mexico’s Independence Day.
She outlined that economic relations between the two countries have strengthened significantly but still have considerable potential for further growth, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
“We want to intensify investment cooperation and trade, as well as continue promoting Azerbaijan’s most well-known products from our country,” the diplomat stressed.
The ambassador also noted the expansion of political dialogue and institutional contacts between Mexico and Azerbaijan.
Representatives of the diplomatic corps visiting Shusha also attended the event.
According to officials, Shusha’s hosting of events dedicated to the national days and important dates of various countries demonstrates that the city is becoming one of Azerbaijan’s diplomatic centres.
The diplomats are accompanied by Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration.
The delegation includes 150 representatives from 58 countries and nine international organisations.
