Chinese travel firms explore Azerbaijan’s tourism potential PHOTO

Representatives of 17 Chinese travel companies visited Azerbaijan from September 7 to 11 as part of a familiarization tour organised with the support of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board’s official representative office in Beijing.

The Azerbaijan Tourism Agency told Caliber.Az that the delegation explored the tourism potential of Baku, Ganja, Goygol and Lankaran during the visit.

The visitors were introduced to Azerbaijan’s rich historical and cultural heritage, as well as opportunities for wellness and ecotourism. They also toured a range of accommodation facilities to familiarise themselves with the country’s tourism infrastructure.

The program also featured a B2B meeting bringing together representatives of the Chinese travel companies and around 70 local tour operators. Discussions focused on potential areas of cooperation and opportunities to establish new business partnerships.
