Azerbaijan, China Energy discuss green energy projects
Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Energy has said it discussed green energy projects with Chinese company China Energy.
The ministry stated that the discussions between Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and a delegation led by Lin Xiaodan, Executive President of the company, addressed progress in studying Azerbaijan’s electricity transmission network as part of cooperation with the China Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute (EPPEI), Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The parties reviewed work carried out during the modelling stage of the study, the completion of the analysis of the electricity system, and the preparation of the final report.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on the implementation of a 160-MW solar power plant project, planned as China Energy’s first investment project in Azerbaijan, as well as a wind energy project in the Caspian Sea.
