Baku Climate Week wraps up after five days of key talks

The fourth Climate Week of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) has concluded in Baku, bringing together representatives from governments, international organizations, the private sector and the expert community to advance discussions on key climate priorities.

The event, held from September 7 to 11, featured roundtable discussions, panel sessions and conferences addressing issues including the energy transition, climate finance, industrial decarbonization, sustainable development and measures to mitigate the impacts of climate change, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

Participants exchanged views on the main areas of the global climate agenda, as well as existing challenges and potential solutions.

Over five days of discussions, particular attention was devoted to ensuring continuity and strengthening institutional links between COP29, COP30 and COP31, accelerating implementation of decisions adopted at previous climate conferences, enhancing regional cooperation and improving access to climate finance for developing countries.

The event also highlighted the importance of closer international cooperation in the run-up to future COP meetings and translating climate commitments into concrete, measurable action.
