Azerbaijani, Armenian FMs to meet by end of 2022 - Mirzoyan
There is an agreement to hold another meeting of the Azerbaijani and Armenian foreign ministers by the end of the year.
Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan made the remarks at the government hour in the Armenian parliament, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Armenian media.
The dates of the meeting have not yet been set, but it may take place before the end of 2022, he added.
Negotiations on a peace treaty are ongoing, Yerevan has recently received another proposal from the Azerbaijani side and will soon come up with its own.
“Unfortunately, the approaches of Yerevan and Baku on many issues are still very different, but that's what they are negotiations to bring the positions of the parties together,” Mirzoyan said.
“There are mutually unacceptable issues, there are those on which the parties are ready to take mutual steps forward,” he stressed.
It is unlikely that the final version of the agreement can be reached before the end of the year, so the negotiations will continue next year, Mirzoyan added.
