Spokesman for Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) Artem Korenyako has said that temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure were imposed at Moscow Domodedovo Airport and Zhukovsky International Airport.
"To ensure the safety of civil aircraft operations, temporary restrictions were introduced at Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports starting from 08:03 [GMT+3] on November 10. He emphasised that airports are "taking all necessary measures to ensure flight safety – this is the top priority."
On November 10 morning, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that 17 drones had been shot down in the urban districts of Ramenskoye, Domodedovo, and Kolomna.
Sheremetyevo International Airport, following Domodedovo and Zhukovsky, has imposed flight restrictions due to a drone attack on Moscow.
“The restrictions at Sheremetyevo were introduced at 09:45 [GMT+3], Korenyako added.
Earlier, Sobyanin noted that seven more drones flying toward Moscow have been destroyed in the urban districts of Domodedovo, Ramenskoye, and Kolomna.
"To date, 32 drones targeting Moscow have been destroyed," he said.
Sobyanin had reported the destruction of 25 drones in the same districts of Ramenskoye, Domodedovo, and Kolomna.
