Armenia reaches deal with Georgia to launch fish product exports

Armenia has concluded negotiations with Georgia to begin shipments of Armenian fish products to the Georgian market, the Armenian Embassy in Tbilisi announced.

In a statement, the embassy said the talks with the Georgian side had been "successfully concluded," paving the way for the sale of Armenian fish products in Georgia, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.

The embassy added that it will continue working with Georgian authorities to further expand bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

The agreement comes after Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) imposed restrictions in June on imports of fish products from Armenia, citing identified sanitary and regulatory violations.
