Azerbaijani president emphasizes brotherhood, strategic partnership with UAE
President Ilham Aliyev underlined the deep-rooted ties between Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), describing the relations as grounded in “brotherhood and friendship.”
Speaking at an expanded meeting with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Aliyev expressed optimism about the future of bilateral cooperation following the signing of several key agreements, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
“The numerous documents signed today will raise our relations to a new level,” the Azerbaijani leader remarked, emphasizing the significance of these agreements. He singled out the Joint Declaration on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, describing it as a pivotal document that “raises our political relations to the highest level.”
Aliyev further highlighted the success of political collaboration between the two nations, noting, “Our political relations are developing very successfully. We always stand by each other in international organizations. We support each other.”
He praised recent mutual investments and pointed to expanding cooperation in critical sectors. “Cooperation in the oil and gas sector is deepening. Among the documents signed today, cooperation in the transport sector has great prospects,” he added.
