President Aliyev congratulates North Macedonia, sees scope for broader ties
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has congratulated North Macedonian President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova and the people of North Macedonia on the country’s independence anniversary, highlighting new opportunities to deepen bilateral relations and expand cooperation.
In his congratulatory letter, Aliyev described the strengthening of interstate relations and partnership between Azerbaijan and North Macedonia as a source of satisfaction, noting that ties between the two countries are rooted in good traditions and continue to gain new substance each year, Caliber.Az reports via state media.
The Azerbaijani president said there are currently good opportunities to expand bilateral partnership further.
“I am confident that we will successfully continue our joint efforts to enhance relations between Azerbaijan and North Macedonia and further expand our bilateral and multilateral cooperation in line with the interests of our friendly peoples,” Aliyev said.
The Azerbaijani leader concluded his message by wishing Siljanovska-Davkova and the people of North Macedonia lasting peace and prosperity.
