Azerbaijan's president looks to unlock new potential in Vietnam partnership
President Ilham Aliyev has congratulated General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President of Vietnam To Lam on the country’s Independence Day, expressing confidence that Azerbaijan-Vietnam relations will continue to deepen.
In his message, Aliyev praised Vietnam’s progress in economic development, improving public welfare and strengthening its international standing, Caliber.Az reports.

Aliyev said there are now good opportunities to further develop bilateral ties in a range of areas, including the economy, trade, energy, industry, transport, tourism, education and humanitarian affairs.
“I am confident that through our joint efforts, the friendly and strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Vietnam will successfully continue to serve the well-being of our peoples and countries,” the president noted.
Concluding his message, Aliyev wished To Lam good health and success in his endeavours, while expressing his hopes for “everlasting peace and prosperity” for the people of Vietnam.
