Construction of Barda-Aghdam motorway nearing completion PHOTO
Construction of the Barda-Aghdam motorway, which is one of the road infrastructure projects being implemented in the territory of Karabakh and East Zangazur economic regions, is nearing completion.
The length of this road is 44.5 kilometres, Caliber.Az reports.
The four-lane motorway is being constructed in accordance with I technical category.
On the 25th and 40th kilometres of the road, the construction of road bridges with lengths of 91.3 m and 18.2 m has been completed.
Construction works are underway in the area with a Pit stop envisaged at the 29th kilometre of the road. At the moment, the third layer of concrete-asphalt pavement is being applied and lampposts are being installed.
Eighty-eight per cent of the work provided by the project has been completed. The construction of the new road is planned to be completed in the nearest future.
The Barda-Aghdam motorway is being laid to the liberated city of Aghdam.
The first 14 kilometres of the road pass through the town of Barda and several settlements of the district.
In general, the road covers more than 20 settlements of the mentioned districts, including the towns of Barda and Aghdam.
