Denmark takes bold step: Announces transfer of entire artillery stockpile to Ukraine

Denmark has decided to transfer all artillery in the stockpile to Ukraine.

Danish Prime Minister Matte Frederiksen made the remark during the 7th Ukrainian Lunch in Munich, RBC-Ukraine reports.

Calling on partner countries to increase the supply of weapons to Ukraine, the prime minister noted that in the supply of weapons, European leaders often refer to problems with production.

She emphasized that Europe has weapons and it is necessary to transfer them to Ukraine.

"But Ukraine is asking us for ammunition and artillery now. We, Denmark, have decided to hand over all our artillery to Ukraine. So I'm sorry, friends, Europe has military equipment, it's not just a question of production. We have weapons, ammunition, air defence systems that we are not using yet. They should be handed over to Ukraine," she said.

Frederiksen added that during the COVID-19 pandemic, Europe and the United States quickly invented a vaccine and produced it in the required volumes. In her opinion, this can be done with weapons.

Moreover, the head of the Danish government expressed support for Ukraine's integration into the EU and NATO. Frederiksen believes that the EU should give Ukraine a clear signal that it will join the bloc.
