Deputy economy minister encourages Russian investement in Azerbaijan's liberated lands
Deputy Economy Minister Sahib Alakbarov of Azerbaijan participated in the Caucasus Investment Forum held in Grozny, where he encouraged Russian entrepreneurs to invest in Azerbaijan.
The Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan provided details of his participation to Caliber.Az.
Alakbarov highlighted Russia's significant role as a trade partner for Azerbaijan, emphasizing that the free trade regime between the two countries facilitates increased trade turnover and opens avenues for deeper cooperation among business communities.
He underscored the substantial investment opportunities in Azerbaijan, particularly in the liberated territories of Karabakh and East Zangezur. Alakbarov expressed his belief in the potential for Russian companies to participate in projects within these liberated areas, viewing such collaborations as pivotal in enhancing bilateral partnerships.
Additionally, the deputy minister emphasized Azerbaijan's strategic transport and transit capabilities, positioned at the crossroads of major international transport corridors like the "North-South" and "East-West" routes.
He highlighted how these infrastructural advantages bolster economic ties between Azerbaijan and Russia while contributing to regional development.
