Deputy minister: Azerbaijan increases gas export
Deputy Energy Minister Elnur Soltanov has said that Azerbaijan has increased its natural gas export.
Soltanov made these remarks at the panel "Current Challenges to Energy Security: Their Nature, Scale and Effective Ways of Elimination" within the 9th Global Baku Forum on "Challenges to the Global World Order", according to APA.
The deputy minister noted that Azerbaijan is an important exporter of electricity to neighbouring countries.
“Azerbaijan's electricity export increased by 45 per cent compared to last year,” he added.
Soltanov said that European countries can benefit from the Zangazur corridor.
“Armenia must fulfil its obligations outlined in the tripartite statement signed in November 2020. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev also noted that Armenia must fulfil its obligations. Azerbaijan may export electricity to Europe through the Zangazur corridor in the future,” the deputy minister added.
