EU approves seventh package of anti-Russian sanctions
Permanent Representative of Lithuania to the EU Arnoldas Pranckevicius has said that the permanent representatives of the EU member states approved the seventh package of sanctions against Russia.
“The seventh package it is. In EU Coreper [Committee of the Permanent Representatives of the Governments of the Member States to the European Union] we have just approved a new package of sanctions against Russia, including a ban on gold, new export controls, asset freeze of Sberbank, more than 50 new individuals and entities, including politicians, military leaders, oligarchs, propagandists,” he tweeted.
The EU has included more than 50 individuals and legal entities in the sanctions list. Politicians and military personnel are among them.
The permanent representative mentioned new export control measures.
Moreover, Pranckevicius said that the new restrictions against Moscow envisage a ban on Russian gold.
