Flood in Texas: Girls' summer camp submerged PHOTO

Authorities in the state of Texas have reported that the death toll from a sudden flood in Kerr County has risen to 104.

According to CNN, at least 28 children are among the dead.

Ten girls and one counsellor from Camp Mystic, a summer camp for girls, are still considered missing. Among the deceased is the camp’s director, Dick Eastland.

The flooding was caused by heavy rains and the overflowing of the Guadalupe River.

As a result, the girls’ summer camp was completely submerged.

Search and rescue operations are ongoing. The U.S. Coast Guard has been deployed to evacuate residents from the flooded area.
