Georgian premier, Armenian defence chief discuss ties, military cooperation
The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, and the Minister of Defence of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, met in Tbilisi to discuss the regional situation.
The meeting highlighted the close and amicable relationship between Georgia and Armenia, particularly in the defence sector. Both parties underscored that the strategic partnership agreement signed earlier this year offers a robust basis for expanding their collaboration across multiple fields, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Georgian government.
"It was noted that the declaration of strategic partnership established between the two countries creates a good foundation for deepening the partnership between Georgia and Armenia in various directions. The discussion highlighted the importance of joint efforts to address the current security situation in the world and the region, as well as the challenges," the statement reads.
