Turkish Armed Forces continue to dismantle PKK in northern Iraq VIDEO

The Turkish Ministry of National Defence has announced the successful neutralization of PKK terrorists in northern Iraq through targeted operations.

In a statement shared on social media platform X, the ministry declared that the Turkish Armed Forces neutralized 3 PKK terrorists detected in the Gara region of northern Iraq, Caliber.Az reports.

"We will continue with unpredictable, unconventional, swift, and persistent operations to eliminate terrorism at its source," the ministry stressed.

This operation follows another recent strike, reported on November 17, where the Turkish Air Force neutralized five PKK terrorists in the Qandil area. The Ministry emphasized Türkiye's determination to uproot terrorism at its origin.

"As a result of the air operation in northern Iraq, 5 PKK terrorists have been neutralized in the Qandil area. The Turkish Armed Forces are resolute in eradicating terrorism at its source," the ministry stated.

Since 2016, Türkiye has conducted a series of successful military campaigns to curb terrorism and establish security along its borders. These operations — Euphrates Shield (2016), Olive Branch (2018), and Peace Spring (2019) — aimed to dismantle terror corridors and facilitate the safe return of displaced residents in northern Syria.

The PKK, listed as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the United States, and the European Union, has waged a terror campaign for over four decades. The group is responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of people, including women, children, and infants.

Türkiye remains steadfast in its mission to ensure security and stability in the region, taking decisive action to neutralize threats and uphold peace.
