Germany donates armored vehicles, missiles to Ukraine
The German government announced the transfer of another package of military assistance to Ukraine, which, in particular, included armoured personnel carriers and ammunition.
The updated list was published on the German government website, European Pravda reports.
According to the updated list, Ukraine received:
- 24 armoured personnel carriers;
- four Bandvagn 206 tracked all-terrain vehicles;
- missiles for IRIS-T SLS air defence systems;
- more than 1000 155 mm ammunition;
- three WISENT mine clearance tanks;
- BEAVER bridge laying machine with spare parts;
- 14 mine plows;
- a maritime mine clearance system, a satellite surveillance system, as well as four vehicles for border services;
- 450 snow chains, 194,000 rations.
As is known, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Prime Ministers of Denmark Mette Frederiksen, Czech Republic Petr Fiala, Estonia Kaja Kallas and the Netherlands Mark Rutte wrote a joint letter calling for collective efforts for long-term support for Ukraine.
Earlier, Scholz called on European countries to increase arms supplies to Ukraine, fearing that US assistance could stop.
Before this, it was reported that the German Chancellor wanted to use the EU summit on February 1 to urge partners to send more weapons to Ukraine.
