Israeli army carrying out operation in Gaza's Al-Shifa hospital Actual combat footage
The Israel Defence Forces published information on the progress of the operation at the Al-Shifa hospital complex in Gaza.
Caliber.Az reports citing IDF's press service that the operation is taking place in the complex where, according to intelligence, the Hamas terrorist organisation was operating.
"Before entering the hospital, our forces encountered mines and terrorist squads, after which a battle ensued, during which the terrorists were eliminated," the report said.
It is noted that IDF forces delivered medical equipment, incubators and baby food donated by the State of Israel to Al-Shifa Hospital. Medical teams, together with Arabic-speaking soldiers, ensured that the medical equipment was delivered and handed over to those in need.
The report went on to say that army units entered the Hamas training base the previous day, where tunnel shafts and weapons - including rockets and RPGs - were found. Military training and intelligence material were also found.
It also said a UAV strike in the northern Gaza Strip attacked a group of militants who were preparing to fire anti-tank missiles at the Israeli military. Two of the militants were eliminated.
Gaza Strip authorities linked to the Hamas movement report that about 9,000 people are staying at the Al-Shifa medical centre blocked by the Israel Defence Forces.
"The occupation army is once again committing a heinous deliberate crime by striking the medical complex Al-Shifa and shooting inside it, although it knows that there are about nine thousand medical workers, wounded and displaced people there," the press service said.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Red Crescent evacuated patients and medical staff from Al-Quds Hospital in the Gaza Strip. The facility has been under blockade for more than 10 days, preventing the delivery of humanitarian and medical aid.
Patients are being transported to the south of the Gaza Strip.
"It was a difficult and dangerous day. We managed to evacuate patients, the wounded, their families and medical teams stranded in Al-Quds Hospital," the Red Crescent said in a post on social network X.
The Palestinian Red Crescent believes that being in the hospital is a threat due to bombing and shelling, and lack of electricity, water and food supplies.
