Spain prepares national civil protection plan for potential military conflict
Spain’s government is preparing its first national civil protection plan specifically designed to address the risks associated with military conflict.
The initiative is part of Spain’s second national strategy for civil protection, Caliber.Az reports citing foreign media.
The new guide is inspired by similar measures in countries such as Finland, Norway, and Sweden, which have already implemented plans to educate citizens on how to cope with crises during potential military actions. Spain is now taking steps to provide its population with basic survival recommendations in the event of armed conflict.
The Ministry of the Interior is overseeing the development of the plan. The objective is to establish a clear set of actions for citizens to follow should the nation face risks related to military escalation.
The proposed guide will draw from existing plans for natural disasters, adapting them for the specific challenges of wartime situations.
This proactive approach aims to ensure that the Spanish public is better prepared for emergencies and can respond effectively if military threats arise.
