Nakhchivan completes initial fibre optic installation along Turkish border

The initial phase of the fibre optic backbone installation along the border with Turkey, spanning from Sadarak to Ordubad, has reached completion.

Rahid Alekberli, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and Acting Minister, confirmed this development to reporters, as per APA.

"The project's budget, totalling approximately AZN 4 million ($2.3 million), has been effectively utilized. We have established infrastructure capable of handling 16 terabits per second. This capacity not only serves the autonomous republic but also facilitates regional and international transit traffic," he said.
