Azerbaijan has dispatched another shipment of electrical equipment to Ukraine as part of its ongoing humanitarian assistance, the country’s energy ministry confirmed on August 15.
The latest consignment, sent from the Sumgayit Technology Park under a presidential order signed by President Ilham Aliyev on August 11, includes around 90,000 metres of power cable, 25 generators and seven transformer units, Caliber.Az reports.
The cargo, transported on ten lorries, is intended to help restore electricity supplies in areas of Ukraine damaged by the war.
According to officials, the next shipment — worth $2 million — is scheduled to be sent in the coming days.
Baku says the total value of humanitarian aid it has provided to Ukraine, including support for reconstruction, has now exceeded $44 million.
