Azerbaijan, Türkiye review joint defence manufacturing plans PHOTO
Azerbaijan and Türkiye have discussed expanding joint military production, with a focus on advanced technologies and defence cooperation, during a high-level meeting in Baku.
Azerbaijan’s Defence Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, met with a visiting delegation led by Selçuk Bayraktar, chairman of the Turkish defence firm Baykar, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az.
Hasanov highlighted the continued strengthening of bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Türkiye across military and other sectors, describing the relationship as developing successfully.

He underscored Baykar’s significant contribution to Türkiye's defence industry and stressed the importance of further increasing joint production capacity through the adoption of advanced technological innovations.
Bayraktar, for his part, said that reciprocal visits play a positive role in reinforcing Azerbaijani-Turkish military and military-technical cooperation.
The meeting was also attended by Türkiye’s ambassador to Azerbaijan, Birol Akgün. Discussions covered cooperation in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles and electronic warfare systems, as well as broader areas of defence collaboration.
