10 July 2026 10:23

Military cybersecurity experts from Azerbaijan and Serbia held a working meeting in Baku under the 2026 bilateral military cooperation plan between the two countries' defence ministries, Azerbaijan's Defence Ministry said on July 10.

The meeting, hosted by the ministry's International Military Cooperation Department, focused on information security and cybersecurity, including current challenges, evolving cyber threats and the protection of critical information infrastructure.

The two sides also discussed measures to counter cyber incidents, the exchange of best practices, specialist training and prospects for organising joint cybersecurity exercises.

According to the ministry, participants said that expanding bilateral cooperation in cybersecurity and increasing the exchange of knowledge and experience would help strengthen the defence capabilities of both countries.
