Azerbaijani deputy FM holds series of high-level meetings in US PHOTO
Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov held a series of high-level meetings in the US states of Utah and California from July 7 to 9, during which the sides discussed opportunities for practical cooperation in various fields, Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry has stated.
It said during his visit to Utah, Mammadov met with Utah Senate President Stuart Adams, a member of the Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jack Gerard, University of Utah President Taylor Randall, and Stirling Foundation President Miles Hansen, Caliber.Az reports.
Mammadov addressed representatives of the state's business and technology sectors, highlighting Azerbaijan's strategic role and the opportunities available for doing business in the country.
During the California leg of the visit, the deputy foreign minister visited the headquarters of NVIDIA, where he met with the company's Vice President for International Affairs, Ned Finkle.
The talks focused on promising areas for potential cooperation.
The delegation led by Mammadov was also briefed on NVIDIA's work in applying artificial intelligence in public administration and on opportunities to introduce innovative technologies in the delivery of public services.
In addition, Azerbaijan and the city of San Jose exchanged experience in urban governance and public service delivery during meetings held at the city's Artificial Intelligence Centre.
