Azerbaijan's judicial reforms win praise from Latvian court chief PHOTO
Irena Kucina, President of the Constitutional Court of Latvia, has praised the reforms underway in the Azerbaijan's judicial system during a meeting with Inam Karimov, Chairman of Azerbaijan's Supreme Court.
Karimov highlighted the steady development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Latvia and outlined the progress being made in modernizing Azerbaijan's judiciary, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The Latvian delegation was briefed on reforms aimed at improving the judicial system, including ongoing efforts to accelerate its digital transformation. Officials noted that the use of modern information technologies across the courts continues to expand, judicial selection procedures are being aligned with international standards, and the country's legislative framework is being continuously refined.
The meeting also highlighted the introduction of artificial intelligence and other innovative digital solutions designed to improve judicial efficiency and enhance the quality of judicial services.
Kucina emphasized the importance of further strengthening cooperation between Latvia and Azerbaijan in the judicial and legal fields.
She also highly commended the reforms implemented in Azerbaijan's judicial system and the progress achieved in advancing its modernization efforts.
