Azerbaijan honours graduates of reserve officer training course VIDEO
A graduation ceremony for the latest class of the Reserve Officer Training Course was held at the Heydar Aliyev Military Institute, operating under the National Defence University (NDU).
Speaking at the event, Rector of the National Defence University, Major General Gunduz Abdullov, congratulated the graduates and noted that the military rank of lieutenant represents not only an honour, but also a significant responsibility to the Motherland, officerly dignity, and loyalty to the military oath, Caliber.Az reports via the ministry.
He stressed that the graduates are now joining the ranks of the Azerbaijani Army's officer corps and expressed confidence that they will justify the trust placed in them by the state and the people through professionalism, discipline, and dedication to duty.
The newly commissioned officers, in turn, expressed gratitude to the President of Azerbaijan and the leadership of the Ministry of Defence for their continued support and attention. They pledged to serve the Motherland, the state, and the nation with honour and commitment.
During the ceremony, top graduate Lieutenant Mahammad Hasanov attached the course emblem to the symbolic stump, after which the graduates were awarded their certificates.
