Azerbaijan, Türkiye deepen defence industry cooperation
Azerbaijan's Minister of Defence Industry Vugar Mustafayev has held talks with Selçuk Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of Turkish defence company Baykar, on expanding bilateral cooperation in the defence industry.
The meeting was also attended by Türkiye's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Birol Akgün, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
During the talks, the sides highlighted the steady development of the strategic alliance between Azerbaijan and Türkiye across a broad range of sectors, with particular emphasis on cooperation in the defence industry.
They stressed that further strengthening collaboration with Baykar is of strategic importance for the continued development of Azerbaijan's defence industry. The participants noted that ongoing joint projects are making a significant contribution to deepening the partnership between the two allied countries.
The meeting also included discussions on expanding military-technical cooperation, introducing innovative technologies, and advancing other areas of mutual interest in the defence sector.
