State Department: US working with Azerbaijan on strategic priorities
The United States continues to work with Azerbaijan on priority areas outlined in the Strategic Partnership Charter, including regional connectivity, economic investment, energy, security cooperation and artificial intelligence, a US State Department spokesperson has stated.
In an interview with AZERTAC, he said the memorandum of understanding on critical minerals signed between the United States and Azerbaijan during Baku Energy Week in June covers cooperation in mining, processing and exploration, Caliber.Az reports.
"US Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs Caleb Orr also co-chaired the first US-Azerbaijan Economic Dialogue. During the dialogue, cooperation agreements and commercial contracts worth approximately $8 billion in total were signed with the Government of Azerbaijan. In addition, under the leadership of the State Department's Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy, an Artificial Intelligence Week was announced for Azerbaijan," the statement said.
