Uzbek president awards Sheikh-ul-Islam with “El-yurt hurmati” order PHOTO
Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has awarded Uzbekistan's “El-yurt hurmati” order to Azerbaijani Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, during a meeting in Tashkent.
Caucasus Muslims Office has stated that Mirziyoyev expressed satisfaction with the strengthening of political, economic and humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports.

He particularly highlighted the efforts of President Ilham Aliyev in advancing bilateral relations and underscored the allied nature of ties between the two countries.
According to the Caucasus Muslims Office, the presidential decree signed by Mirziyoyev cited Pashazade's contributions to spiritual and educational activities, the promotion of interfaith and intercivilisational dialogue, and the dissemination of ideas of peace, humanism, friendship and brotherhood between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
The decree also highlighted his role in training qualified specialists in the religious sphere and in educating young people in the spirit of respect for universal values.
