As part of this year’s training plan, the Azerbaijani Air Force has carried out a series of training flights involving both planes and helicopters, the Ministry of Defence reported to Caliber.Az on August 16.
The exercises began with testing the pilots’ theoretical knowledge of flight conditions and safety regulations, followed by detailed briefings for the flight crews.
During the training flights, pilots carried out a variety of tasks, including takeoffs and landings at base airfields, navigation along designated routes, and the detection of air and ground targets in coordination with command and control centres. Additional operational activities were also performed.
The Ministry emphasised that the primary aim of these training flights is to enhance the combat readiness of aviation units and to strengthen the practical skills of military pilots.
