Azerbaijan, Türkiye advance joint defence industry vision PHOTO
Defence industry cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye was in focus as Defence Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov met with Mustafa Murat Şeker, Deputy Chairman of Türkiye’s Defence Industry Agency, during talks in Baku on July 2.
At the meeting, Hasanov expressed confidence that joint defence industry projects implemented by the two countries would continue to strengthen the military capabilities of both armed forces. Şeker emphasised that such meetings play a special role in expanding Azerbaijani-Turkish military cooperation, Caliber.Az reports, citing the ministry.
As part of the visit, the delegation also met with Azerbaijan’s First Deputy Defence Minister and Chief of the General Staff, Colonel General Karim Valiyev.
The sides noted that the friendly and brotherly relations between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Türkiye have had a significant positive impact on the steady development of military cooperation.
During both meetings, the participants held detailed discussions on the future development of defence ties, including the use of artificial intelligence in satellite technologies, electronic warfare, unmanned systems and other areas.
