Baku, Ankara strengthen defence industry alliance PHOTO
Azerbaijan and Türkiye have discussed plans to expand defence-industrial cooperation, including the implementation of future joint projects and the adoption of advanced technologies, during a meeting in Baku.
As Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defence Industry, Deputy Minister Hidayat Azimov met with a Turkish delegation led by Deputy Chairman of Defence Industry Agency, Mustafa Murat Şeker, who is on a working visit to Azerbaijan.
The sides conducted a comprehensive review of the existing defence industry partnership between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, noting that bilateral cooperation has reached a strategic level in recent years.
The discussions also covered the implementation of future joint initiatives, expanding the exchange of expertise in the military-technical sphere, and advancing the introduction of modern technologies.
Both delegations expressed confidence that continued high-level contacts, mutual visits, and official meetings would further strengthen the defence-industrial capabilities of the two brotherly nations.
