Azerbaijan's PM holds talks with UN road safety envoy on transport reform
On July 1, Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with United Nations Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Road Safety Jean Todt to discuss road safety reforms, transport infrastructure and broader cooperation with the UN, the Cabinet of Ministers said.
The two sides welcomed the continued development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United Nations, while Asadov praised the Special Envoy's efforts to advance global road safety initiatives.
During the meeting, they reviewed Azerbaijan's ongoing reforms aimed at improving road safety, modernising transport infrastructure in line with international standards and enhancing the country's transport system through the adoption of digital technologies.
The discussions also focused on sharing international best practice in road safety, expanding cooperation in the sector and other issues of mutual interest, according to the Cabinet of Ministers.
