US, Israeli delegations to meet in Doha for ceasefire talks with Hamas Qatari PM says
Qatari Prime Minister Muhammad bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani has said that delegations from the US and Israel are set to arrive in Doha for consultations regarding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and a "prisoner exchange" with Hamas.
The prime minister made these remarks during a joint press conference with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Doha, Caliber.Az reports via Israeli media.
"The American and Israeli negotiators will meet in Doha to discuss pathways to achieve a breakthrough in ceasefire negotiations," the Qatari prime minister stated.
Moreover, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has said that the US hopes that negotiations for a ceasefire in Gaza will resume soon.
"This will be obvious in the coming days. We truly expect that talks will restart shortly. We should determine whether Hamas is ready to engage. I believe we will be able to assess that in the coming days," he said during a press conference in Doha, Qatar.
Blinken is currently on a tour of the Middle East.
