Polish army starts recruiting volunteers aged 15-65
Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak has said that the Polish army is recruiting volunteers to teach the basics of combat training.
The Polish army is recruiting volunteers aged between 15 and 65 as part of the "Train with the Army" project, according to Kommersant.
"We have decided that students can also take part in such training. We invite anyone from 15 to 65 years of age. In the case of minors, parental consent is required," the Polish vice premier said.
Blaszczak said that they will be trained in handling weapons, the basics of medical care, and skills in crisis situations.
Meanwhile, Poland is set to receive Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems from the US in the near future. Poland and Germany discussed sending these systems to Ukraine.
However, in late November, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that Poland would not deliver them to Ukraine, explaining that Patriot systems were needed to protect the Polish sky.
