Production volume up by over 7% in Azerbaijan’s non-oil, gas sector in 2023

The Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee has announced that the production volume in the Azerbaijani oil and gas sector decreased by 2.4 per cent while in the non-oil and gas sector - by 7.4 per cent in January-October 2023.

The industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this sphere produced industrial products worth 55.6 billion manats ($32.7 billion) over 10 months of 2023, which is 1.6 per cent less than for the same period in 2022, Report reports citing the State Statistics Committee.

Some 68.1 per cent of industrial products were produced in the mining sector, 26.6 per cent accounts for the processing sector, 4.4 per cent - for the production, distribution, and supply of electricity, gas, and steam, 0.9 per cent - for the water supply, and waste recycling.

Commercial oil production decreased by 8.1 per cent while commercial gas production increased by 3.6 per cent in the mining sector.

Electricity, gas, and steam production, distribution, and supply volumes increased by 2.2 per cent while water supply, waste treatment, and recycling volumes - by 14.9 per cent.
