Pundit: Armenia avoiding fulfillment of its obligations
Farid Shafiyev, Head of the Azerbaijani Center for International Relations Analysis, has said that the reason for holding the rally on the Shusha-Khankandi road is environmental problems and the exploitation of Azerbaijan's natural resources.
“The problem was not created by Azerbaijan and our main goal is to solve environmental problems,” Shafiyev told media, APA reports.
He stressed that another issue is to ensure security in Lachin road.
“During observations, Azerbaijan revealed that mines and other ammunition are being transported along the Lachin road. This completely contradicts the provisions of the tripartite declaration because this road was opened for humanitarian purposes. Azerbaijan is committed to the tripartite declaration,” the chairman noted.
“Armenia also undertook the obligation to open the Zangazur corridor. However, we see that Armenia does not fulfill its obligations. Azerbaijan has publicly announced that the goal is to restore its public control in the territories liberated from occupation. We are considering these issues in stages,” Shafiyev added.
