Russian defence ministry claims liberation of ten settlements in Kursk
The Russian Defence Ministry has announced that its forces have successfully regained control of ten settlements in the Kursk region from Ukrainian Armed Forces within a span of two days.
The liberated areas include Apanasovka, Byakhovo, Vishnevka, Viktorovka, Vneszapnoye, Gordeevka, Krasnooktyabrskoye, Obukhovka, Snagost, and Oktyabr-10, Caliber.Az reports citing Russian Defence Ministry.
The report also highlights recent military engagements in the region, noting that Russian troops have repelled two counterattacks by the Ukrainian army.
These counterattacks were directed towards the settlements of Fanaseevka and Snagosti. Additionally, an attempted assault in the direction of Olgovka was thwarted.
The Russian Defence Ministry further detailed that, with the aid of army aviation and artillery, its forces successfully defended against four attempts by the enemy to breach the Russian border near Novy Put and Medvezhye.
