French-made military equipment, drones destined for Armenia A third of production diverted from Ukraine
A portion of military equipment produced by French companies in Ukraine is being allocated to Armenia.
A diplomatic source in West reveals that approximately 30 per cent of this production, which includes drones and various military components, is designated for Armenian use, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Since this summer, three French defence industry enterprises have been engaged in the production of unmanned aerial vehicle components and spare parts for military equipment, such as armored vehicles. This initiative, overseen directly by the French Ministry of Defence, initially aimed to bolster Ukraine's defence capabilities in its ongoing conflict with Russia.
However, it has now been confirmed that arms supplies from this production line are also being directed to Armenia. The involved French companies include KNDS, a tank manufacturer formed through the collaboration of France's Nexter and Germany's Krauss-Maffei-Wegmann.
