Iran warns of decisive retaliation after strikes on energy infrastructure
A spokesperson for the central command of Khatam al-Anbiya stated that “the enemy carried out an attack on part of Iran’s fuel and energy infrastructure in the southern region,” and warned of a strong retaliatory response to the strike, Tasnim reports.
“As we have warned before, if the fuel, energy, gas, or economic infrastructure of our country is attacked by US-Israeli forces, we will simultaneously deliver a decisive strike on the enemy and actively target the source of aggression. We consider it legitimate to strike the fuel, energy, and gas infrastructure of the aggressor country, and we will respond harshly at the first opportunity. The enemies should expect determined action from the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic,” the spokesperson said.
Earlier reports indicated that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued an “urgent” warning to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE, urging the evacuation of personnel from petrochemical facilities.
