Media: Red Crescent car attacked in southern Iran VIDEO

A vehicle belonging to the Red Crescent was struck during a military attack in the southern Iranian city of Lar, according to Iranian media.

The Fars News Agency reported that the vehicle and its staff were carrying out a humanitarian mission to assist injured people when they came under attack, allegedly involving Israeli and US forces.

There was no immediate information on casualties.

Global norms, including the Geneva Conventions and protections associated with the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, prohibit attacks on medical and rescue personnel. Observers say the reported strike may constitute a potential violation of those rules.
