Russian drone attack triggers massive fire at Ukraine's infrastructure facility
A Russian drone strike ignited a significant fire at a critical infrastructure facility in Ukraine's Vinnytsia region overnight.
Two firefighting trains from Ukrainian railways, Ukrzaliznytsia, were dispatched to manage the blaze, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukraine's State Emergency Service (SES) report on Telegram
Fortunately, no employees or civilians were injured in the incident, according to the SES.
Currently, 64 personnel and 23 units of equipment are actively working at the scene to control and extinguish the fire.
During the overnight assault on August 3, Russian forces launched 29 Shahed drones, two S-300 surface-to-air missiles, and two Kh-31P anti-radiation missiles against Ukraine. Ukrainian air defense systems successfully downed 24 drones across nine oblasts, though explosions were still reported in Poltava, Kyiv, and Odesa regions.
The Vinnytsia Oblast Administration has confirmed that the attack struck a critical infrastructure facility in the region.
